If you would like to automatically skip the Windows 10 login screen so you can boot up your computer, and get right to work, please follow the steps below:

  • In the Windows 10 Search box (next to the Start button), type the following command, and hit the Enter key: netplwiz. This will tell Windows to run netplwiz in exactly the same fashion as if you typed the netplwiz command using the Run command box (to launch the Run command box if you would prefer, go to Start button -> All apps -> Windows System -> Run). If you encounter User Account Control (UAC), type in an admin password to proceed.

  • The User Accounts window will launch. In the list of users under User Name, left-click on your user name to highlight it. Once highlighted, uncheck the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer check box at the top of the list. Click or tap the Apply button and then click or tap OK..

  • In the Automatically sign in dialog that launches when you click Apply, input and confirm your password, and then click or tap OK.

The next time you sign out of your computer, and log back in, you will automatically skip the Windows 10 login screen. It is important to note that you still retain the ability to lock your PC with this method, and your password would be required to unlock your computer. If you ever need the password prompt to display again, repeat the steps above, but check the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer check box at the top of the list.
