After the installation of the IBM SPSS 19, in some cases, the system returns you a side-by-side error related to the C++ Redistributable 2005.
To resolve this problem you need to run the VC Redistributable x86 or x64 that is available in the IBM SPSS local installation folder located under C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Statistics\19\VC8\Vcredist_x86.exe or vcredist_x64.exe depending on which OS you are installing on.
After doing this, the application should run without problem.
