To Uninstall Internet Explorer 9:

The following instructions apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

  • Click the Start button in the lower left corner.
         
  • Click Control Panel.
         
  • Click Programs and Features.
         
  • Click View installed updates in the left pane.
         
  • Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section, click Windows Internet Explorer 9 and  then click Uninstall.
       
  • When prompted, click Yes.
         
  • Click one of the following:
    1. Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9, and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
    2. Restart later (to wait until you shut down or restart your computer).

Note: After you uninstall Internet Explorer 9, the previously installed version of Internet Explorer will be available on your computer. It is not necessary to reinstall.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 10:

  • Click the Start button in the lower left corner.
         
  • Click Control Panel.
         
  • Click View installed updates in the left pane.
         
  • Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to find Windows Internet Explorer 10 and right-click Windows Internet Explorer 10 and then select Uninstall.
       
  • When prompted, click Yes.
       
  • It might take several minutes to uninstall. After it is finished, restart your computer.
Note: After you uninstall Internet Explorer 10, the previously installed version of Internet Explorer will be available on your computer. It is not necessary to reinstall.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 11:
  • Click the Start button in the lower left corner.
         
  • Click Control Panel.
          
  • On the Control Panel (icons view), and click on the Programs and Features icon.
         
  • In Programs and Features, click on the View installed updates link on the left side. (see screenshot below)
         
  • In Installed Updates, scroll down to find Internet Explorer 11 and double click it.
         
  • Click Yes.
         
  • It might take several minutes to uninstall. When it is finished, restart your computer.

Note: After you uninstall Internet Explorer 11, the previously installed version of Internet Explorer will be available on your computer. It is not necessary to reinstall.
