To Uninstall Internet Explorer 9:
The following instructions apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
- Click the Start button in the lower left corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Programs and Features.
- Click View installed updates in the left pane.
- Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section, click Windows Internet Explorer 9 and then click Uninstall.
- When prompted, click Yes.

Click one of the following:
- Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9, and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
- Restart later (to wait until you shut down or restart your computer).
Note: After you uninstall Internet Explorer 9, the previously installed version of Internet Explorer will be available on your computer. It is not necessary to reinstall.
To uninstall Internet Explorer 10:
- Click the Start button in the lower left corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click View installed updates in the left pane.
- Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to find Windows Internet Explorer 10 and right-click Windows Internet Explorer 10 and then select Uninstall.
- When prompted, click Yes.
- It might take several minutes to uninstall. After it is finished, restart your computer.
To uninstall Internet Explorer 11:
- Click the Start button in the lower left corner.
- Click Control Panel.
- On the Control Panel (icons view), and click on the Programs and Features icon.
- In Programs and Features, click on the View installed updates link on the left side. (see screenshot below)
- In Installed Updates, scroll down to find Internet Explorer 11 and double click it.
- Click Yes.
- It might take several minutes to uninstall. When it is finished, restart your computer.
Note: After you uninstall Internet Explorer 11, the previously installed version of Internet Explorer will be available on your computer. It is not necessary to reinstall.
