After you have submitted a print job to the UniversalPrintQueue, you can release the job from your smart phone by using one of the two methods described below.
Method #1 - QR Scanner
- Tap the "Camera" app to open up your device's camera.
- Tap "Photo" in the list of camera options.
- Tap the "Rotate Camera" button to rotate your camera so you can view the printer's QR code.
- At the printer you want to release your job to, be sure to focus in on the code. You can do so by tapping on your screen. Once it focuses, a link will appear as a Push Notification at the top of your screen. It will display "Open 'papercut.atu.edu' in Safari".
- Tap this push notification to be redirected to the "Mobile Print Release" page.
- Sign in with your Tech username and password. Tap "Log In" when finished.
- Your print jobs should appear. To release, select the print job you wish to send to the printer, and tap "Release"
- Your document(s) will immediately be sent to the printer.
Method #2 - Browser
- Open up your desired web browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) and navigate to https://print.atu.edu/mr
- Sign in with your Tech username and password. Tap "Log In" when finished.
- Select the printer you wish to release this job to. The name of the printer will be noted on the printer. [Ex. RPL140N (papercut)]
- Your print jobs should appear. To release, select the print job you wish to send to the printer, and tap "Release"
- Your document(s) will immediately be sent to the printer.
