Adobe Creative Cloud 2019 Installation Instructions


Please note that If you have Adobe Creative Cloud 2017 or older, or Adobe CS6 or older, you should uninstall them before attempting to install any new applications.  If you have Adobe Creative Cloud 2018 installed on your computer, you will not be required to uninstall.

Uninstall Previous Versions of Adobe:

  • Windows 7:  Open the Windows Control Panel and double-click Programs and Features. Select the product that you want to uninstall, click Uninstall, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
  • Windows 10: Click on the Start Menu and type in Control Panel.  Click on the Control Panel result.  Look for Programs and Features and select Uninstall a Program.  Select the program you want to remove and click uninstall.  Follow all onscreen instructions.
  • IMPORTANT: Mac OS has new uninstall functionality. DO NOT drag applications to the trash to uninstall them. To safely uninstall on Mac OS X, double-click the product installer in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers or double-click the Uninstall alias located in the Application folder. Select Remove Preferences, then Authenticate as an Administrator and follow the onscreen instructions.




Install Adobe CC on Windows:

Please Note - Creative Cloud 2019 apps are availablable for Windows 7, and Windows 10 or later.  However, the 2019 version of Digital Video products require the newest versions of Windows 10.  If you are going to create digital video then your computer must meet the minimum operating system requiremnents.  Please check your Windows Version to verify.  For macOS users scroll down to the Installing Adobe CC on macOS section.


Check Windows Version:

1.       Click on the Start Menu and type in Settings.

2.       From the Setting menu click on About.

3.       Look for the Version number.  If it is 1709 or higher, you are ok.  If it is lower than you need to upgrade to a newer version of Windows 10.  

4.       If you are OK with using the 2018 version then you do not need to upgrade.  Proceed to Installing Creative Cloud below.

5.       If you want to upgrade Windows, please contact Campus Support for assistance.

 



Install Creative Cloud:

1.       Log into your ATU email account

2.       Look for an email from Adobe Creative Cloud with the subject Access Granted: Enjoy All Apps Now.



3.       Click on Get Started.  You will be redirected to a web page where you will be prompted to log into Adobe.  You will be using your ATU email address and password.

4.   Enter your ATU email address
*NOTE – As soon as you enter your email you will get redirected to another login page



5.   Choose the Enterprise ID: Company or School Account Option.



6.   You will be redirected to your personal adobe.com user page.  
*You might be redirected to the ATU Single Sign-in page.  If you do, then enter your ATU email address and password.

7.   At this point you are now on Adobe.com.  You have two options: Creative Cloud Apps or Document Cloud Apps.  To install Photoshop for example you will need to click on Install Creative Cloud Apps.



8.   You will be taken to the Creative Cloud page.

9.   You may have to select Apps from the menu in the upper left corner of the browser.



10.   From the Apps page you can download and install any of the Adobe Creative Cloud Apps that are available.

11.   For example, to download Photoshop you need to click on the Download button.



12.   Your browser will download the Photoshop_Set-Up.exe file.  You can find this file in your downloads folder.



13.   Run Photosop_Set-Up.exe.  

14.   The Adobe CC Installer application will open up and ask you to sign in again.  Enter your ATU email address and select Use Enterprise ID again.  You may log straight in at this point or you may have to enter your ATU email address and password in the ATU Single Sign on page that may pop up.

15.   Next you will need to answer three questions about your skill, organization and job function.  Click Continue.



16.   Click Start Installing

17.   You can watch the progress on the installer program.  When it reaches 100% you can use your new application.

18.   To install other applications, you have two options:

a.       You can follow these same steps to install any of the other applications that Adobe Creative Cloud has to offer.

b.      Click on the Start Menu and look for the Adobe Creative Cloud application.  Open this app then all you have to do is scroll through the available programs and click Install.





 






Install Adobe CC on macOS:

Please Note - Creative Cloud 2019 apps are only availablable for macOS Sierra 11.12 or later.  Please check your macOS Version to verify.


Check macOS Version:


1.       Before you can install the 2019 version of Adobe Creative Cloud, you must make sure that your computer meets the minimum operating system requirement by Adobe.

2.       Click on Go and About this Mac.

3.       Look for the Version number.  If it is macOS Sierra 10.12 or higher, you are ok.  If it is lower than you need to upgrade to a newer version of macOS.  

4.       If you are OK with using the 2018 version then you do not need to upgrade.  Proceed to Installing Creative Cloud below.

5.       If you want to upgrade your macOS, please contact Campus Support for assistance.



Install Creative Cloud:


1.   Log into your ATU email account
2.  Look for an email from Adobe Creative Cloud with the subject Access Granted: Enjoy All Apps Now.


3.  Click on Get Started. You will be redirected to a web page where you will be prompted to log into Adobe. You will be using your ATU email address and password.

5.    Choose the Enterprise ID: Company or School Account option.
*This option may not show up. If not then skip this step.


6.    You will be redirected to your personal adobe.com user page.
*You might be redirected to the ATU Single Sign-In page. If you do, then enter your ATU email address and password. 
*Firefox users may need to click Allow in the top right to continue to this page.

 

7.    At this point you are now on Adobe.com. You have two options: Creative Cloud Apps or Document Cloud Apps. To install Photoshop for example you will need to click on Install Creative Cloud Apps.


8.    You will be taken to the Creative Cloud page.
9.    You may have to select Apps from the menu in the upper left corner of the browser. 


10.    From the Apps page you can download and install any of the Adobe Creative Cloud Apps that are available.

11.    For example, to download Photoshop you need to click on the Download button.
*You will see the below popup. All you need to do is click OK.


12.    Your browser will begin to download the Photoshop_Installer.dmg file. Your browser may ask you to save the file, or it may download automatically.  It should save to your downloads folder.  Your dowloads folder can also be accessed by using ALT+Command+L.

13.    Go to the location of your file and double click Photoshop_Installer.dmg

14.    The Adobe CC Installer application will open up and ask you to double click the icon.


Once you double click you will see another window that asks if you really want to open this file.  Click Open to continue.  





15.    The Adobe CC Installer will open up and ask you to sign in again. Enter your ATU email address and select Use Enterprise ID again if it asks. You may log straight in at this point or you may have to enter your ATU email address and password in the ATU Single Sign on page that may pop up.


16.    You may need to answer three questions about your skill level, organization and job function. These will be personal to you so answer accordingly.

17.    Click Start Installing  


18.    You can watch the progress on the installer program. When it reaches 100% you can use the new applicaton.

19.    To install other applications, you have two options:
          a.    You can follow these same steps to install any of the other applications that Adobe Creative Cloud has to offer.
          b.    Go to your Applications folder.  Double Click the Adobe Creative Cloud app.  This should load the Creative Cloud App that will give you options to install other programs after you click apps at the top.
          c.    Click the Cloud icon shown in the image below.  This is the icon on the far left.  This icon will launce the Creative Cloud App as well.
