Office Online (previously Office Web Apps) is an online office suite offered by Microsoft, which allows users to create and edit files using lightweight, web browser-based versions of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. These online versions of the Office applications look similar to the full version of Office, but they do not have all the features of the full versions. 

Office Online is available through OneDrive in your Office 365 account ( To create a new file, please follow the procedure below:

  • Click on OneDrive in the navigation bar at the top.
  • Then click the "New" button to create a new file.
