Occasionally, due to an unstable Internet connection, you may from time-to-time get 'timed out' of an exam, or you may get kicked out of it for 'multiple clicks'. Then when trying to log back in to the exam, you get a red bar error that says 'access denied'. What this means is that Blackboard 'thinks' you are no longer interacting with the system, and will close down the connection stream.

When this happens, your exam attempt will need to be reset in order to start over. The Campus Support Center does have permission from a few instructors to be able to reset their students' exams; however, if we do not have permission from the instructor in question, students will be referred to the instructor.

To avoid error messages of 'access denied' from occurring, do NOT make multiple mouse clicks when clicking on submit or navigation buttons. Use only single left button mouse clicks to navigate, save, and submit answers. Do NOT use the enter key or any browser buttons (i.e. Back button). Please be patient after clicking on a button for a response. Do not repeatedly click the button.
