Most modern day laptops or desktops computers should be able to connect to ResNet as long as they have a wired Ethernet port or wireless capability.  For wireless connectivity, it is strongly recommended that it be 5ghz capable ("Dual-Band" devices are 5ghz capable) or that a wireless adapter is purchased that is.
