How to Provide My Password Recovery Data for My Forgotten Password

ENVIRONMENT

  • Windows
  • macOS

RESOLUTION

The Campus Support Center is not able to retrieve your former passwords. The Account Management System (AMS) found at http://ams.atu.edu is where you can go to manage your password. Therefore, if you have forgotten your password, you can use your password recovery data to change your password.

How to Provide Password Recovery Data

You can use one of the following two ways to provide your password recovery data:

  • AMS Website: Click Change Password on the AMS website to provide your password recovery information, such as your "non-ATU email" and/or cellphone number (you must have a data plan).

  • OneTech: Login to OneTech and use the Update Password Recovery Information link in the Personal Information channel on the Home page to provide your password recovery information, such as your "non-ATU email" and/or cellphone number (you must have a data plan).

Once having provided your password recovery data, if you forget your password, you can go to the AMS website and choose Forgot Password. After your password recovery email or cellphone number is verified, a password recovery link will be sent or texted to you. Follow the link to create your new password.

If you have issues with the Forgot Password link, please call Campus Support at 479-968-0646. Once verifying your account information, we will follow the password recovery procedures to apply for a recovery password for you. Because your recovery password only works on the AMS website, once your recovery password is approved, you should use it to change your password via the AMS site by using Change Password link.

Note: Campus Support Center personnel can ONLY provide a recovery password to the account holder.
