This will happen if the privacy settings are not allowed in both Windows and MacOS. To get to the Windows options go to settings - privacy - you will then see camera and microphone separately. Go into each and scroll down to the bottom and allow desktop apps to access your XXXX. Make sure this setting is set to on.
