This error can occur under a very specific set of conditions.
The bug occurs when a Collaborate session is set to allow Guest access that also has microphone and camera permissions and the guest link is accessed through a course announcement.
To fix this, the user can right click the link and open it in a new tab or window.
To fix this permanently, edit the announcement and set the link to open in a new window.
