In some cases a particular question (or questions) will properly display in the video timeline of a Kaltura Video Quiz but do not allow students to answer it when it comes up. Kaltura support believes this error is caused by questions being placed too closely together, so please space questions at least 5 seconds from the beginning and end of the video along with 5 seconds between each question.

This can be fixed by the Campus Support Center or the instructor by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to your Media Gallery in the course.
  2. Click Add Media.
  3. Search for the quiz. Example: Quiz 1 - Quiz.
  4. Click the title of the video. Under the player, click Actions then Launch Editor.
  5. Here is where we can edit the quiz. On the timeline click the affected question to open the question, then drag it slightly. You can even move it back to its original position. This will change the "Close" button on the question card to read "Save."

  6. Click the Save button from step 5. If you'd like to test the video quiz to assure it's working properly click Preview at the top. This allows you to take the quiz as though you were a student. When you're finished click Done.
