Caution When Deleting Discussion Boards in Ultra Courses
If you go to the Discussion area of your Ultra course:
And create a new Discussion:
By default, it will be shown in the Discussion area AND the Content area:
And in the content area:
If you delete the Discussion from the content area:
It also deletes it from the Discussion area. Ultimately, deleting a discussion from the content area results in it being deleted from the entire course.
If you want to remove the Discussion from the content area, but not delete it from the entire course then click the option to Edit the Discussion.
On the next screen then click the gear icon to edit the settings:
And uncheck the option to show it in the Content area:
