If the instructor gives you an assignment that only requires your desktop screen being record with your voice only you will configure it as in the screen show below. (Note: You can take away anyone of these three option just by clicking on the icon. It will turn that feature off for that video recording)
This is how you configure the setting to how you ever your instructor instructed you. If you are unsure how the instructor wants you do your Kaltura Recording Assignment. Always reach out to them and get clarification.
Step 4: Recording with Kaltura. Recording with Kaltura is very easy.
Once you have it configured to how you want to you will click on Big RED Record button. It will give you a count down from 3..2..1.. and your video will start recording. Remember to be prepared, ready to give the video presentation because if you are recording your screen and doing a video you won't see yourself during the recording until after the video is ready for uploading.
The recording bar will change to a smaller version in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. As show below in the screen shot.
NOTE: The symbols in this section. The Square icon is the STOP RECORDING button, the two vertical line icon is the PAUSE Button and the X icon is the CANCEL Recording Button. Once you give it a title, click the Save & Upload button so this video will process and save your personal Kaltura Media Gallery.
NOTE: Depending on the length of your video, your internet speed at your home and internet traffic at Kaltura website it might take a little bit for it to process into your Media Gallery.
