There is a known issue with Respondus right now, and they don't have an ETA on the fix.
You may run into reports from students trying to take an exam using Respondus, and it asks them for a password. As far as you know there is not a password on the exam.
We found one setting that could be the problem.
1. Go to the Respondus Lockdown Browser dashboard in the course.
2. Scroll down and find the test/quiz that is causing the problem.
3. Click the menu by the name of the test and click Settings:
4. Click on Advanced Settings at the very bottom:
5. Look for this setting right here. You may already have it turned off:
6. However, even though the setting is turned off, if there is a password typed into this setting it will be needed by the test to launch the test. Go ahead and check mark that setting and it will reveal if a password was previously set up:
7. If there is a password, just delete it and then turn the setting back off. Finally save the changes.
** NOTE ** -- This may not fix all the possible password problem with a Respondus quiz. If you come across a time this doesn't resolve the issue then please contact the Campus Support Center ([email protected]) for further investigation.
