Student Profile is the New Hub
The Student Profile is the hub in SSB9 for searching out student-specific information. It contains several categories of student information, as well as links to other systems.
General Information
The top of the Student Profile shows some general information that can be useful, including the student T-number, completed hours, and GPA. Note that Student Profile information is specific to a particular term. The Student Profile also shows a current picture, if available, and contact information for the student.
Registration Notices and Holds
Registration Notices and Holds are particularly useful sections of the Student Profile. In the Registration Notices dropdown is where you find the student's Registration PIN, if one has been assigned.
Links to Other Systems
The Student Profile also provides links to other systems, most of which carry term and T-number over into context when they load. The first two apparent links (Curriculum and Courses & Prior Education and Testing) just change the righthand side of the student profile to display that information. "Additional Links" is actually a heading for the links below.
Curriculum and Registered Classes
The Student Profile shows a breakdown of primary and secondary curriculum information, information about hours and GPA, and any classes students are registered for in the semester in context.
Prior Education and Testing
This section gives information about education history and test scores. The test student used here does not have any information.
Degree Evaluation
This provides an in-context link to Degree Works information on degree progress.
Academic Transcript
This provides a link with the student in context to the transcript. There are some dropdown options to be filled in.
Registration
This provides a quick link to a search for student registration.
Student Schedule
This links you directly to the student's schedule, if they are registered in classes for the in-context term.
Registration Overrides
This link takes you to a search for registration overrides. It should keep the student in context when you click it, but may not the first time you do it that day.
Registration and Planning
This provides a quick link to the student registration menu.
View Grades
This provides an in-context link to the student's grades (if they have any-this test student does not).
Advising Comments
This takes you to a page where you can view previous advising comments for a student (after pressing the button) or add new advising comments.
