  • SSB9 - Self Service Banner 9 menu. Delivered by Office of Information Systems

  • Ellucian – Vendor who delivers Banner and the student system.
  • Dashboard – The name of Ellucian’s redesigned SSB9 system.

  • Why are some links missing and moved? 
    • In SSB9, the applications are divided into different modules, for example, Student, Registration, and Employee. 
    • The Self-Service Banner 9 menu that connects these modules has been designed by OIS.
  • What are the Dashboards?
    • The dashboards are the baseline SSB9 pages delivered by Ellucian. They are available on the SSB9 menu that OIS has provided. 
    • The Dashboards are available as OneTech cards for quick access. 

 

 

 

 

 


  • Dashboards take you to Ellucian-delivered landing pages. These pages vary by the different modules, but they provide links to the different pages within the modules. 


  • How do I use the new SSB9 menu delivered by OIS?
    • On the SSB9 menu, you will find links to pages that have been developed and delivered by OIS as well as links to the SSB9 dashboards delivered by Ellucian.
    • Are sub-menus
    • Are pages. 
    • Links to the SSB9 Dashboards are available under the various tabs on the SSB9 menu. See Example Below:

  • Does the Tnumber stay in context between pages? 
    • Yes, but only within a module. For example, if you search for a student within the Faculty Dashboard, it will NOT carry over to the registration module. 
  • How do I navigate this menu? 
    • The following is available on any custom pages developed by OIS. 
        1. The home icon will take back to the SSB9 Menu developed by OIS.
        2. The refresh button will allow you to refresh a page.
        3. The Print button allows you to print the current page.
    •    The following is available on both Ellucian delivered and OIS developed pages. 
        1. This is the side menu, which has the same links as the SSB9 menu developed by OIS.
