In order to make Chrome the default Windows 10 browser, it must already be installed on your computer. If needed, you can download Chrome from Google’s Chrome web site.

  • Once the Chrome installation has completed, in Windows 10 click or tap the Start button, and choose Settings.

          

          

  • In the left navigation, type in Default Apps in the search box.

          

 

  • Look in the list for your Web Browser of choice and click on the web browser name.  Example Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox or Microsoft Edge.

         

  • At the tope you will say button that say Set Default.  "Make .... your default browser. 


NOTE: If the web browser you are choosing is already your default browser you will see a checkmark beside that set default button.



Note: If the change does not take effect, try logging into your computer as an administrator to modify the default web browser.
