To make Outlook the default mail program, please do the following:

Outlook 2007: 

  • Click the circle in the upper left hand corner.
  • Click tools, then the other tab. Make sure that the check box is checked that says make Outlook the default program, click OK, and you are done.

Outlook 2010

  • Click file options (it should default to the general tab on the left, if not, click it).
  • Look for the check box that says make Outlook the default program and click OK. You are done.
