The Campus Support Center occasionally receives file recovery requests from users that have "lost" their MS Office documents when they thought they were saving it. Normally, they would receive a file by email and then just open it to begin editing it instead of saving it to a permanent location first. After editing it and saving it, they cannot find it. Without saving a file to your T, I or personal flash drive, or even your desktop before opening it, it is only in a temporary location, and cannot be recovered. To help prevent this from happening, be sure to download and save a document before opening it for editing. Then when you save, your changes will be saved to your permanent file.
How can I keep from losing a document I have been editing and saving?
