When you change your password on the Account Management System you might notice that your account could become locked out. One of the possible reasons could be that your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch could be locking you out. In this knowledge base article, we will show you how to do a "forget this network" on each of these devices that could help stop or prevent a lockout to your account due to the password change.
iPhones and iPads:
1. On the home screen go to settings > Tap on Wi-Fi > Tap on the little "i" button to the right of the wi-fi network that is trying to connect > Then tap on "Forget this Network.
2. This will stop the Wi-Fi from trying to auto-join with the old password. You will need to repeat these steps depending on if have joined multiple WiFi networks around campus.
3. Once you have done that to all the ATU Wi-Fi networks you will tap on the available Wi-Fi that you want to join and enter your Onetech username and new password in there again. Click "Trust" on the network certificate and you will be connected to Wi-Fi once again.
Apple Watch:
1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap Wi-Fi, then tap the name of the network you’re connected to.
3. Tap Forget This Network.
4. Go back and reconnect to the Wi-Fi of your choice and use your onetech username and new password. Then hit the "Trust" button to accept the network certificate and you will connect back to the Wi-Fi.
MacBook:
1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the top-right corner of the Mac menu bar.
2. Select Open Network Preferences (WiFi Settings).
3. Then click on Wi-Fi > then Advanced.
4. Click on the ATU Network in that list then hit the minus sign (or three dots, then remove). This will forget that network and that saved password.
5. Close the network window out and reconnect to the wi-fi of your choice. It will ask for your username and new password.
